Black Birds in White Branches

A gathering of rooks

Gala Water, Southern Scotland  -   last winter.

At dusk
the gray
foxes
stiffen
in cold;
blackbirds
are fixed
in white
branches.
Rivers follow
the moon,
the long
white track
of the
full moon
