At the edge of woodland in a city park wild plants are in reproduction mode. At first glance this tangle of Cleavers, Brambles and Nettles looks chaotic but there is a natural order in place - everything is making the most of its alloted space. |

It’s great to see these wild and tangled areas with food and cover for wildlife. Soon all those thistles will produce a seed bonanza for finches.
Wild flowers carry their own quiet charm, and most of them are healing plants too

I have a small area in my garden that is mostly nettles & brambles I think that a hedgehog has taken up residence in there so I'm leaving it alone so as not to disturb her. We visited Edinburgh a couple of years ago and really enjoyed touring Holyrood, happy days.

I enjoy seeing wild tangles of plants, as well as more restrained growth. Nature is so exuberant and it doesn't take long for untended parcels to return to wildness. Love the stone wall meandering through.
Love a "wild" garden like this, as long as there are beautiful colored flowers blooming to make it worth the work:) And the stone wall gives it a sense of history! The lovely views are welcomed by All Seasons, which is a significant and thoughtful experience:)

We are blessed with such profusion of wild plants and flowers, aren't we? I've heard it said that with this unusually fine weather and little rain, plants, wild and otherwise, are further ahead in their growth cycle than usual. I've noticed in my garden, a bumper crop of sweet scented clover flowers, I don't remember anything like that before, so I've been cutting the grass around them. Many have withered now, but not all.
