Spring Snow

Last week we had quite a lot of snow.
Beautiful at the time, but now swiftly disappearing.

Thankfully we escaped the extremely low temperatures experienced
in other parts of the country.

Princess the explorer on a woodland path.
She is almost invisible in the snow covered landscape.

Today there is slush and mud everywhere so we've decided to stay indoors
.....  dreaming of Spring flowers!

Thank you for visiting

Your snowy photos show the beauty and transformative nature of a fresh snowfall. I'm glad you escaped the brutal cold of the storm. It's lovely to see spring flowers beginning to emerge. Yay for colour!

Our snow is all gone now too but we enjoyed snowy scenes very similar to yours!
I am keenly looking forward to seeing primroses again!

Yes I've heard the snow stories from my son (we Skype every week) Crazy to think that it's on both continents at the same time! Love your two captures of the snow and water, and of course what is there not to love about flowers:):)Many thanks for All Seasons and have a dry(tongue in cheek) week.

Ruby, to keep you up to date, about 3 weeks I started a new blog and with 2 blogs going on at the same time, I definitely like to keep All Seasons, but am considering dropping the Weekend Journal page, because it's keeps me too many hours on the computer. Maybe I'll pick it back up a little later this year on my new blog.
Always welcome to visit my new one - it's a writing/and art blog. The url is theJeshStudio (dot)wordpress (dot) com
Ciao!

Snow truly does make fabulous images but the slush and ick as it melts isn't quite so photogenic!

I really had to search to find your pup in all that snow -- be careful you don't lose her (;>)).... but I hope that it has all melted by now and hasn't come back. It is high time to be dreaming of spring flowers -- and I loved seeing yours from last year!

The snow and frost covered trees are stunning it was quite a surprise that snow wasn't it? It was a surprise for me too to be travelling through a snowy landscape a couple of days ago! It's much warmer now I'm by the sea. Hope it's also warmer with you. M xx

Dear Ruby - Dusting of snow is so beautiful. As I went thought the photos, I felt bracing air was transformed into warm light. I spotted out Princess trodding (or running) on the snow. I like the weather change of March which makes me unable to hold back expectation for spring.

Unusual long shivering cold, abrupt end of it last week. Then again bitter cold and even snow in Tokyo today, the Vernal Equinox. Maybe it’d be the winter’s extreme way of ending as a crazy winter this year. I hope “neither heat nor cold lasts beyond the equinox” like Japanese saying.

Take care,

Yoko

I would send you a bouquet of spring flowers if I could. We have plenty. Spring arrived early here and in full force.
