January Winds

I'm watching the wind blow surface water back out to sea before it reaches the shore,
at least that's how it appears. It's not as cold as it looks, at 10c degrees the wind feels almost warm.

Seaweed, partly embedded in the sand, rattles and cracks like prayer flags in the wind.

Waiting in the car  -   all steamed up!

Thank you for visiting

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve

Night of little wind,
Stillness breathing over the fir trees
And the house
Turreted
With staircases and towers
And secret passages
And levels going up into the sky.
A stained-glass window
Where the light is always on -
Impossible fairy-tale castle
Seen in moonlight

Merry Christmas!
