It's great to know as Charlotte said, that gold spiders really do exist [whether in actuality or Durrell's imagination doesn't matter, they or at least she - exists!] I like the way that the centre of the web is off the image, somewhere beyond the top left hand corner, so we can just imagine her there...

  7. I have embroidered but I don't know well couching skill. I think this embroidery maybe is used in kimonos. The golden spider web is great.
